You are legally responsible for the contents of the skip you hire from us in.

You need to ensure that the waste disposed in a hired skip is suitable for general disposal and that the skip we hired you is not overloaded. If you are sharing a skip with a neighbour, you will also need to ensure that their waste is suitable. What if I put hazardous waste in the skip? An extra disposal fee will be charged if unsuitable waste is found in a hired skip. This is because our skips are normally hired for general waste, garden waste, and building waste i.e. Bricks, Blocks, Soil.

Waste not suitable for general waste in our skip hire includes:

Plasterboard, Asbestos, Fridges Freezers and Air-conditioning units, Tyres, Electrical appliances, Batteries, Fluorescent light tubes, Paints (including residues inside paint cans) Solvents, Aerosols and gas cannisters, Liquids, Oil, fuel and other automotive fluids.
